Inspire Wales is an investment consortium formed by 20 of Wales’ most prominent businesspeople. Members include the founder of GoCompare, the CEO of Comtec and Financier John Lloyd-Jones - who all contribute to a fund with over £1m of annual investment potential. The fund was created to help Welsh firms grow their businesses to the next level, and offers equity investments supported by the expertise of its members.
Qualia was chosen to provide Inspire Wales with a complete rebrand. Following the rebrand, Qualia was asked to provide the fund with bespoke desktop and mobile website designs, before coordinating with their in-house developers to produce and develop the sites.
The key challenge was to produce a brand that was professional and corporate enough to represent the Inspire Wales’ founders, but that also demonstrated the dynamism of the business to potential investments. In light of Wales’ growing number of technology businesses, which represent a key investment opportunity for the group, Qualia focused bonding the established feel with a contemporary visual offering.
Qualia’s ability to drill down into any business and extricate its fundamental differentiators has been key to our success. By taking insights drawn from thorough analysis, and translating these into striking visual communication, we have established a conceptual bedrock upon which our growth has been founded.
Look through our case studies.
Credi has created a patented lending platform that allows any two parties (be they individuals, companies, or institutions) to build, contract and manage loan agreements with each other. ‘Relationship lending’ is the second most prevalent form of credit in the world today, but brings with it the potential for disagreements which can cause either party to fail to meet the terms of the arrangement. Credi’s offers its technology in three distinct ways to three different markets; personal lenders, business lenders, and non- profit organisations.
Credi asked Qualia to consider and design a process for the personal lending product that would allow two parties to reach a lending arrangement in the easiest and most efficient manner possible. Once we succeeded in extricating the process, we designed and built an application, desktop and mobile website to move the business into its beta- testing and series-B investment stage. Within this brief, we were charged with building Credi’s brand image and tone of voice.
Qualia identified the various challenges related to delivering Credi’s brief, but none were more pressing than the issues involved in establishing an entirely new product to a range of demographics. As an unknown fintech offering with a unique proposition, creating a consistent brand and technology offering was crucial to accelerating, rather than limiting, its growth potential. We took the product and envisaged a brand, to be proliferated through each interactive medium produced by Qualia. We then focused on the mediums themselves - applying our insights to practical design and development.
BBO is a recruitment firm based Henley-on-Thames, specialising in sourcing financial, HR, marketing and administrative roles for large international and smaller, local businesses. BBO stands for Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Recruitment, with an office that quite literally sits on the border of all three counties.
BBO asked Qualia to create a striking brand identity to coincide with its launch and the opening of its new office in central Henley. BBO required a complete branding service, followed by full website design and development.
With BBO looking to increase its market share against local competitors, we were focused on creating an online presence and identity to match the businesses ambition. We wanted to create a brand that visualised the businesses geographic placement, and a website that stood out from its competitors.
